EXPERIENCE
In 2012, I was introduced to user experience as a design student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas through the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon and I haven’t looked back. (Spoiler— We won 2nd place. Viva Las Vegas!)
After my transition, I went on to design experiences for various startups through the Techstars network, including Dronesmith, a startup that develops solutions to build, ship, and run drone applications by providing an open platform to simplify cloud connectivity and scalability and, Conversation.one, a platform that helps organizations communicate with their clients by leveraging conversational devices.
I’ve since helped design experiences for clients such as Citibank, Red Digital Cameras, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Royal Bank of Canada and a few others. Right now, I’m building and improving financial planning services as Senior Experience Designer at Northwestern Mutual.
Though I enjoy working through all sorts of problems, the projects I enjoy the most contain some level of complexity to be unpacked. In the past year, I’ve had the privilege to deep dive into capital market tools, market trade surveillance, and developer experiences. I have enjoyed every opportunity to create detailed solutions by employing empathy in order to make something truly useful and delightful.
